Air Conditioning Maintenance
To help keep your air-conditioning system running like new, Atkinsons Air recommend the following routine maintenance for all Fujitsu split and multi-split style air-conditioners. Cleaning the Cooling Fan
Cleaning the cooling fan, or heat exchanger in the back of your system is also effective for keeping electricity consumption low. However please do not attempt this if you are unsure about the process, please just give us a call and we can help.
Cleaning Your Filters
When the filter inside your air conditioner is dirty, intake air decreases while the amount of electricity needed to cool your home increases. To keep your filters clean, we recommend cleaning the filter every 2-4 weeks if you can. You can clean the filter by washing it with lukewarm water or using a vacuum cleaner.
When your filter is notably dirty, use lukewarm water with a small amount of detergent, then dry in a shady place out of any direct sunlight. If your model has automatic cleaning, try to use this function every 2-4 weeks.
